  • During a family email discussion (we have our own website and use a group email list to talk often) my niece mentioned that she thinks in colors. In other words, she said that whenever anyone says, "What comes to mind" about something, she thinks of a color. Is that cool or what?

    So according to Melissa, I'm 

    A deep aqua blue with black stripes.

  • My dear poor wife had an accident at youth group on Wednesday night. We were playing a game called "Run the Bases" - basically two people throw a softball back and forth and try to tag people running between two bases. I threw the ball to Bev and it didn't quite land in her glove. Instead it smacked her right in the left cheekbone! Ouch!

    She's ended up with a pretty nasty black eye. We were supposed to have our driver's license photos taken, but maybe we'll hold off on that for a couple of weeks!

    Here are two pictures to show the damage. Poor Bev! Send messages of sympathy and I'll pass them on to her (or she'll just read them here herself).

  • I think the Lord is teaching me a new lesson this week ...

    The truth shall make you free ... John 8:32

    I've had a couple of chances this week to present truth (not just in the preach from the pulpit sense) and it has not only relieved me personally from an emotional burden, but other people have responded as well. Please, Lord, keep teaching me this. I need to learn very badly!
