  • Subscriptions – Who are you?

Do you have people on your subscription list – or people that have subscribed to you – and when you see their screen name you have no idea who they are or why you’re subscribed in the first place?

Or is it just me that does that?

  • Maybe they changed their username?

But I have subbed to a few who I wonder how I subbed to.

  • @Dare2BDiferentt -

Yeah, there are a few of those, but there are also a few that I still can’t figure out how or why I know them!

  • I don’t recall that ever happening, but I do have a lot of people who have subscribed that do not post or participate (via comments) anymore….

  • lol hasn’t happened to me yet, but we’ll see.  I’m sure it’s not completely uncommon.

  • Uh…who are you again? 8^)

  • @Singing4sDad -

Yeah, I was waiting for that one. :)

  • @bonzojferardi -

‘Tis sad how many people we’ve lost on Xanga. When I first got on here, I mostly chatted with people I knew. Now it’s mostly people I’ve never met in real life. Funny, I guess.

  • Yeah, sometimes I get comments on my blog and I have to actually go look at their page to try and remember who they were and what made me subscribe to them in the first place.

  • @SpiderDad - the migration to facebook is like lemmings over a cliff…one (younger) girl who subscribed to my site told me that she doesn’t read my site because I am “older”.  Then why did she subscribe?

When she posted that she was getting a facebook I asked her why and she said, “I dono…ask my sister…”….lemmings.  Lemmings I tell you.

  • haha, i know who all mine are…but that’s because im only subscribed to like…25 people. :P

thanks for the words of encouragement. :)

  • I used to know a lot of people only on Xanga.  It was rough when I met them in real life because I was so used to knowing them by their Xanga names.  Most of the people I knew on Xanga, I now also know on Facebook, and now that I’ve learned their real name, I can’t always remember their Xanga name anymore, especially the ones who went thru a couple of generations of Xanga ID’s.

  • i don’t have that many subscribers to get confused with  :(

  • No, My problem is that I don’t post enough.  I would like to start posting more but I don’t have enough xanga friends to make it worth it!

  • Yeah, I have a few of those. It’s not uncommon. I think I subbed to you because Evie recommended you or I saw you comment on her site. I go back and reread her Xanga when I’m missing her…
