I got this in the mail from HP. It was an advertisement for blade servers or something, but I thought it was funny.
“Brian Chief Troubleshooter, IT Chiropractor, Applications Overseer, Backup Administrator, Business Navigator, Network Configurator, Hardware Handyman, Inventory Gatekeeper, Shark, Budget Defender, Infrastructure Psychic, Air Traffic Controller, Home Office Help Desk, Resident Peacekeeper, Serial Lunch Skipper Volpone“
If you don’t know what this means then you probably don’t work in IT.

You should turn that into a book. You can call it ‘The Many Moods of Brian V.’ and maybe they’ll make it into a movie. How’d you want to play you?
I meant “Who’d you want to play you?”
And I asked you first!
Hahahahaha! I’m an office manager so I’m a jack of all trades, as well! =)
As far as K, she just turned 5…Last I checked with hubby she’s doing extremely well in comparison to last night…He said it was like night and day.
Thanks so much for your well-wishes!
I hope you have a great rest of the night! =)
I just saw your other comment about our dog. We, too, have an untraditional Boston…Our male, Tobey, is completely brindle. They are both pure bred, but Tobey is twice the size of Trixie so people are always asking if he is part boxer…No! For the millionth time…NO! It’s hard having a dog that doesn’t fit the ‘acceptable’ look of a breed, isn’t it? =) If you look in my Photoblog you’ll see pics of both of them, although I have to update BIG TIME…They are much bigger now. =) Do you have any of yours somewhere?
Oh yeah, I know what it means. But I’m not a network administrator. I’m a systems analyst. I like that serial lunch skipper…only mine is serial lunch juggler (juggling work with eating.)
EGADS!!!!
I know EXACTLY what it means………….
HE’S BLOWN A SPARK PLUG!!!!
(tee hee, good to see a new post sir)
It is true that we are provided with free chocolate (usually holiday leftovers that didn’t sell) and you can eat as much as you want in the building. You are not allowed to take it out of the building (as in home to your family.) However, we have have new management since 2001, and there have been A LOT of cutbacks on Hershey benefits, including the free chocolate. We still get free chocolate but there isn’t as much as there used to be. We still get about a 25% discount at the company store (but it’s often the same price as what you can get at Walmart.)
