My big excitement for this weekend was when the gas tank in my truck sprung a leak – on the bottom of the tank! After pumping the gas from my truck into my wife’s car, the truck pretty much stopped leaking onto the road. Thank the Lord that a friend of mine from church works on my cars, and he came over this afternoon with some cool gas tank epoxy and fixed the problem. Thanks, Jim (although he’ll never read this)! Now I’ve got about a half gallon to a gallon of gas that’s full of leaves and junk that I’ll never be able to use for anything. Question for everyone – what do you do with something like that? How do you dispose of it?

I bet Greg could think of something!!! But that might be dangerous!

B-O-N-F-I-R-E! Kidding. I’ll ask my Painterman. He knows all kinds of stuff like that.
COuld you strain it and use it for the lawnmower or something?
Painterman agrees with me: he’d strain it (coffee filter?) into a can and use it in the mower. Or you can pour it in an open pan and put it outside somewhere covered. It will eventually evaporate, although it presents something of a fire hazard. Or you can call a garage that accepts waste oil and see if they have a use for it. Or you can take it to work and give it to the maintenance staff for cleaning mowers or equipment. They may also have a filter. Or, if all else fails, you can call the county waste management people and they will charge you $ to get rid of it in an environmentally friendly way.
I like the lighted match idea, myself.
FIREEEE!
You have a pyro son, put him to work.
It’s the beginnings of a big bonfire. Remember to THROW the match at it.
I’m thinking hot dogs and root beer
