  • I’m really a day late posting this, but yesterday was Dylan’s 5th birthday. If you leave him a birthday greeting in the comment section, I’ll be sure to read it to him.

(There you go, a little guilt to get the comments flowing. :)

  • Yes I am a little old for youth group these days and I was a pain when I was the right age. You would have worried about me like everyone else did.

So how old are you and your family? I gather you are a youth pastor.

  • Happy 5th Dylan!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Happy birthday Dylan!  Since you’re the expert family photographer, who will take the picture of you blowing out the candles on your birthday cake?  (Or do you know how to use the timer?)

  • hApPy BiRtHdAy, DyLaN!

  • I never answered one of your questions. The one about my walk. My back is no longer turned on God and I finally figured out that Gods rules were very similar to my parent’s rules, in that braking them causes me almost as much pain as them. They are not silly rules that hold me back from enjoying life. They allow me to keep enjoying it. They prevent me from growing cold to the best things in life. A cold jaded life is not the one God wants for us. But it is what is waiting for me if I only seek the world’s pleasures.

  • hey hey. thanks for the comment.

my mom had a brain tumor so they did a major surgeyr about a month ago. less than a month ago actually. so…shes a lot better! yay. a lot better than i expected.
    :O)

  • Hey, thanks for your comment, I appreciate it. One of the hardest parts of this, though, is that my two friends who were killed in the car crash about seven months ago (good deduction) were not, to the best of my knowledge, believers in Christ. In fact, it’s pretty unlikely that they were, even though about half our group of friends is Christian. So it’s harder to find comfort. And while I’m at school, which is a Lutheran school, with a lot of people who have been at Lutheran schools their entire lives and so consequently are not close to any non-believers… it’s tough. But I know God is faithful, and He gives me what I need.

And Happy Late Birthday to Dylan!! You can tell him that for every present he gets, he can give that person a huge bear hug. Those are great presents, too.

  • hey, i was soo surprised to see your comment! lol my youth pastor giving advice on boys. thanks alot though it helped. i know he’s a christian and that’s part of what i like about him. well i hope you have a good day! stay warm!
